Sushant Mehta, Founder and CEO of Sports Yaari Network, claimed on his ‘X’ post on August 11 that Rohit Sharma would host the Indian version of 'Family Feud'. There could be a total of 40 episodes in the first season of the show, which are reportedly likely to go on air every Saturday-Sunday from October onwards.

In May, Sony had teased Rohit’s possible TV debut with a clip, where the former captain is heard saying his famous line, “Koi bhi garden mein nahi ghumega.”
Rohit Sharma to announce his retirement soon?
The widespread speculations and media reports over Rohit’s possible television show have been surfacing across social media platforms amid rumors over his international career with the India National Cricket Team. During India’s tour of the United Kingdom, it was claimed that Rohit would retire soon after the Lord’s ODI match against England.
However, proving the claims related to his retirement wrong, Rohit keeps himself active in the ODI format, in the lead-up to the 2027 ODI World Cup. While the possible new television show has sparked the opener’s ODI retirement again, Mehta in his post further mentioned that as the experienced batter is set to feature in the New Zealand tour, he is not retiring right now.

India Today, in their report last night, mentioned that the show will be named Rohit Sharma Show, which will stream on Sony LIV. Although Sony is yet to reveal the details about the show, its preview page marks the show as a reality program.

Rohit, 39, is undoubtedly nearing his retirement from international cricket and remains active only in the 50-over format, after taking retirements from T20I and Test cricket.
His ODI career is believed to be under threat during India’s ODI match against England at Lord’s in London. He was not in great form before the match, but made a massive leap by smashing a century.
The right-hander smashed a 138-run knock off 110 balls while Team India was asked to chase a target of 389. Despite Rohit’s heroic performance, the Indian cricket team fell short by 27 runs and lost the 3-match ODI series by 2-1.
