Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer were involved in a heated exchange while batting during the ongoing second ODI between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.
India were off to a disastrous start with the bat after Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss and opted to bowl first.
India jolted with initial blows
Xavier Bartlett put Australia in the driver's seat by dismissing Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli in the 7th over. He first dismissed Gill for 9 runs before sending back Kohli for a four-ball duck.

Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer engage in animated exchange:
After the twin blows, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer steadied the ship for Team India. While they were rebuilding the innings, they were also involved in an animated exchange. The incident took place in the 14th over when Rohit Sharma was facing Josh Hazlewood with Shreyas Iyer at the non-striker's end.
On the fifth ball of the over, Hazlewood bowled a back-of-length delivery on the stumps, and Rohit tried to flick it but missed. The ball hit him high on the pads and rolled onto the ground.
With no fielders nearby, Rohit Sharma wanted a quick signal, but his proposal was turned down by Iyer. However, the former India skipper was not at all happy with Iyer's response and was seen venting his frustration. The cameras caught Rohit animatedly telling Iyer something as if he were complaining about something.

Meanwhile, Rohit and Iyer have stitched together a big stand for the third wicket. At the time of writing this report, India were on 115/2 in the 27th over.
Rohit was batting on 62 while Iyer was unbeaten on 42. With both batters set, India will be hoping that they continue to bat and guide the team to a big score.
India are trailing the three-match series after suffering a 7-wicket loss in the series-opener. They need to win the ongoing match at any cost to keep the series alive.
