India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma talked about the transformation that he brought into the team. The opening batter said that it was his dream to bring change to the team and also credited Jay Shah, Rahul Dravid, and Ajit Agarkar for the success of the team.

The fearless India team is one of the strongest teams going around in the world of cricket. The term 'fearless' being attached to the team is something that wasn't there for a long, long time, but after the T20 World Cup 2022, it has been a completely different Indian team.

The major reason behind that has been captain Rohit Sharma. The India captain after facing a disappointing loss in the semi-final of the tournament, brought in a completely different mindset in the team. He instilled a fearless approach in the team and ruled out the fear factor from the side.

Rohit Sharma led from the front and showed the path to the team. He, with his attacking approach, has been providing a great start to the team. He led from the front in the ICC World Cup 2023, scoring around 600 runs, and took his team to the final.

After that, he made sure that he continued performing the same way and came up with a similar performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, scoring 257 runs and taking the team to title victory. He helped India end the title drought and win the ICC event for the first time after 2013.

Rohit Sharma talked about the transformation, saying that he wanted to create a different environment in the team so the players could play freely without thinking about results and stats. He called Jay Shah, Rahul Dravid, and Ajit Agarkar as his three pillars behind the change in the team. Speaking during the CEAT Awards, he explained:

"I think it was my dream to transform this team and not worry too much about the stats, the results and also to make sure that we create that environment where people can go out there and play freely without thinking too much and that's what was required.

"I got a lot of help from my, to be honest, three pillars which are Mr Jay Shah, Mr Rahul Rahul Dravid, and Chairman of Selector (Ajit Agarkar). That was very critical for me to do what I did and not to forget the players who came in at different points in time and helped the team to achieve what we achieved today."

It was great to bring the Trophy back home - Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma also talked about the T20 World Cup 2024 win. He said that it was a great feeling to win the trophy and bring it back home. He also talked about his experience of celebrating the win with the fans. He explained:

"Can't express the feeling in words, it was great to bring the Trophy back home and celebrate with the fans."

Rohit Sharma has been sensational for India in all three formats this year. He has piled up runs consistently for the team and also has been leading the team well. The India National Cricket Team skipper was also awarded the CEAT International Cricketer of the Year Award.
