The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to rest three key players for the upcoming ODI series against the England National Cricket Team. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three-match ODI series, which will be India's only 50-over series ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

As per the reports in Sports Tak, it is learned that the skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah won't be playing the three-match ODI series against the England National Cricket Team, which will be played in February.

The selection committee will soon be taking a decision on the same, and the squad for the series will be announced soon. It's fair to say that the squad for the England series will be similar to the one that will be playing the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, barring a few changes.

The trio has been continuously playing cricket and is currently playing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. While the batters have struggled to get going, the fast bowler has been carrying the entire bowling single-handedly in the series and has bowled in bulk.

India is placed in Group A along with hosts Pakistan, along with India, New Zealand and Bangladesh and Group B features Cricket World Cup 2023 champions Australia, alongside Afghanistan, England, and South Africa. The top two teams from both groups will play in the semi-final.
