"I have said many times that Rohit will play the 2027 World Cup, that also as the captain. He has been working very hard for that and it is the result."

"If things go right, I will have at least four to five players representing India in the coming decade or so. I have some top prospects in the academy, who all have a great future ahead. I don't want to name any names, but some of these kids have excellent skills even at this tender age."

Rohit Sharma Emerges as India’s Most Successful ODI Captain

Rohit Sharma is widely regarded as India’s most successful ODI captain, leading the team to 42 wins in 56 matches, a 75% winning rate, the highest among Indian skippers with at least 10 games.

Under his leadership, India performed strongly in ICC events, winning all group stage matches and the semifinal in the 2023 World Cup, though they lost to Australia in the final.

Rohit also led India to the 2025 Champions Trophy title, remaining unbeaten in the group stage and securing convincing semifinal and final victories over Australia and New Zealand.

With the 2027 ODI World Cup just two years away, India’s management must focus on maintaining stability under Rohit’s experienced leadership while carefully planning any team transitions.

Every Youngster Deserves a Fair Chance -Dinesh Lad

Dinesh Lad said that young cricketers need proper guidance and exposure to realize their potential. He added that with disciplined training and the right opportunities, talented players can achieve success and bring pride to the nation.

"Every youngster deserves a fair chance. These girls are passionate, disciplined, and eager to learn. With the right coaching and opportunities, they can make the country proud."

Lad has been mentoring young cricketers aged 9 to 12 from Maharashtra, Karnataka, and other states. His academy promotes inclusivity, supporting girls from regions like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh, ensuring that financial or geographical barriers don’t limit opportunities.
