Rovman Powell Bought By Kolkata Knight Riders For INR 1.5 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Rovman Powell has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 1.5 crore. The West Indies captain plied his trade for Rajasthan Royals in the last season of the IPL.

His journey in the IPL began with Delhi Capitals in 2022. The West Indies star played two seasons for the Delhi-based outfit. In IPL 2022, Powell played 14 games and scored 250 runs at a strike rate of almost 150. In IPL 2023, he played only 3 games and managed to score a modest 7 runs.

Ahead of the 2024 season, he was signed up by Rajasthan Royals. He played 10 games in IPL 2024 and scored 103 runs at a strike rate of 151.47. Apart from the IPL, Powell has also played in the Caribbean Premier League, The Hundred, Pakistan Super League, Lanka Premier League, and International League T20.

A hard-hitting batsman and a part-time medium-pacer, Powell has played 256 T20s so far. He has scored 4563 runs with the help of a century and 17 fifties in addition to taking 26 wickets in the shortest format of the game.
