Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore had a magnificent start in IPL 2021, winning their opening 4 games. However, the Virat Kohli and boys lost to Chennai Super Kings in their previous match. While chasing 192 in the match, Royal Challengers Bangalore were totally outclassed by CSK bowlers, who restricted them to 122-9 in 20 overs.

Earlier, Royal Challengers defeated Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets in their opening game of IPL 2021. They later defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 runs. RCB then overpowered Kolkata Knight Riders by 38 runs in their 3rd game. Against Rajasthan Royals, opener Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli showcased outstanding batting to chase the 178-run target and won the match by 10 wickets.
After the loss against Chennai Super Kings, the Virat Kohli-side lost their top spot in IPL 2021 points table and slipped to the 3rd spot. RCB will now travel to Ahmedabad for their next encounter against Delhi Capitals. The match will take place on April 27.
