Lockie Ferguson, on Wednesday (May 22), came up with an absolute gem of a delivery to castle Tom Kohler-Cadmore in the ongoing Eliminator between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Asked to bat first, RCB finished their innings on a competitive total of 172 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Rajat Patidar top-scored for RCB, scoring 34 while Virat Kohli (33) and Mahipal Lomror (32) also played crucial knocks. For RR, Avesh Khan picked up three wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin claimed two wickets.

In reply, RR made a good start with the bat. With Jos Buttler not available anymore, Tom Kohler-Cadmore came out to open the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The duo did not let RCB take any wickets in the first five overs before Lockie Ferguson was introduced into the attack.

And the New Zealand pacer made an instant impact by castling Tom Kohler-Cadmore to give RCB the much-needed first breakthrough. On the third ball of the sixth over, the right-arm pacer clean bowled the RR opener with a stunning yorker. It was a slower yorker from Ferguson and Kohler-Cadmore was completely outfoxed by it. The right-handed batsman departed after scoring 20 runs off 15 balls.

Talking about the game, RR were on 85 for 2 at the end of the tenth over. In the tenth over, Cameron Green dismissed Jaiswal for 45 to give RCB another crucial breakthrough. Captain Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag were batting in the middle for RR at the time of writing this report.

RR will be hoping that the in-form batters bat them to a strong position in the chase. The winner of the ongoing game will be playing in the second qualifier for a place in the final while the loser will be knocked out. The winner of the Eliminator will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second qualifier. Kolkata Knight Riders have already booked their place in the final.
