Ruturaj Gaikwad: Asian Games Village Visit Helped Me Understand What It Means To Represent India
The India National Cricket Team is playing for the first time in the Asian Games, which is being held in China, and they will directly play the quarter-finals against Nepal on 3rd October.
Ruturaj Gaikwad will be leading the Indian side for this event. The Indian team is staying in a hotel in Hangzhou, but on Tuesday, they visited they visited the Asian Games village to meet the Indian Contingent.
The Indian Captain for the Asian Games, Ruturaj Gaikwad, talked about how meeting the Indian athletes made it even more meaningful for them to represent India. The Indian Men’s team is now even more focused on winning the gold medal.

“Participating in Asian Games is a big opportunity and a matter of great pride for all these players. I am really looking forward to this tournament. Coming to the Asian Games, everyone is eager to win the gold for the country and stand up on the podium,” Ruturaj Gaikwad said about the team’s eagerness to stand on the podium.
India will face Nepal in the quarter-finals, and Ruturaj is not at all worried about the ground dimensions here in China. He said that everyone, at some point in their careers, has played in these dimensions, and it will be easier for the players to adapt.
The dimensions are very short in China, and Nepal has recently created a record by scoring over 300 runs in a T20 match against Mongolia in the Asian Games. Hopefully, India will put up a great show and win the gold in this event.
