Ryan Rickelton Bought By Mumbai Indians For INR 1 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Ryan Rickelton has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 1 crore. The South African is a wicketkeeper-batsman and is yet to play in the IPL.

Even though Rickelton has not proved himself on the grand stage yet, he has been turning heads with his performance on the domestic circuit in recent years. In the 2021-22 first-class season of South Africa, he was the third-highest run-scorer.

The brilliant displays helped him make his Test debut in April 2022. He also played for Northamptonshire in county cricket and enjoyed a productive outing, scoring two hundreds and four fifties in four matches. Later in the 2022-23 List A domestic tournament, he was the highest run-scorer.

Earlier this year, Ryan proved himself in T20 cricket as well by finishing the SA20 as the highest run-scorer. He was also the second-highest run score in South Africa's domestic T20 Challenge in the 2023-24 season. So far, he has played 106 T20s and scored 2709 runs with the help of a century and 17 half-centuries.
