SA vs SL: Watch: Reeza Hendricks Takes A Brilliant Running Catch To Remove Dangerous Charith Asalanka

South Africa were on the top at almost every stage of the game against Sri Lanka. The 4th game of the ICC World Cup 2023 took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Proteas had that kind of day that even substitute fielder Reeza Hendricks made an impact. 

Reeza Hendricks produced a stupendous effort on the field that almost sealed the game for his team. Charitha Asalanka was looking in great touch and at one stage it seemed that he would win the game for his team with the way he was batting. 

Lungi Ngidi bowled a slower ball that was floated up outside off. Charith Asalanka reached out for it and lofted it as he sliced it off the outside half. Reeza Hendricks ran across to his left at the sweeper cover and held onto it while putting in the dive.

Charith Asalanka played a vital knock after Sri Lanka lost early wickets. The left-hander played a magnificent innings and smashed 79 runs off 65 balls. His innings raised the hopes of fans and brought them close to the target. 

SA vs SL: South Africa win the game against Sri Lanka by 102 runs 

South Africa had a staggering outing with the bat after they lost the toss. Temba Bavuma lost his wicket early but it was a blessing in disguise for them as after that Quinton de Kock (100), Rassie van der Dussen (108), and Aiden Markram (108) slammed blistering centuries. David Miller (39*) in the end along with Heinrich Klassen (32) and Marco Jansen (12*) struck some lusty blows as South Africa posted a total of 428 runs on the board. 

With the ball too, South Africa were on the top as Marco Jansen picked wickets early with the new ball to put the opposition under pressure. Charith Asalanka batted magnificently well and was supported well by Kusal Mendis (76) and Dasun Shanaka (68). In the chase of 429 runs, Sri Lanka got 326 runs, which depicted how valiant an effort it was from them.
