SA20 2024: Watch- Faf Du Plessis Takes An Incredible Catch During JSK vs MICT

The SA20 League is witnessing some of the most impressive cricketing action in this season. Recently, during the match between MI Cape Town (MICT) and Joburg Super Kings (JSK), Faf du Plessis took a stunning catch to dismiss Dewald Brevis. The MICT was already in a strong position with over 200 runs on the board in the seventeenth over when Dewald Brevis tried to hit Lizaad Williams over long off but the ball took the leading edge and stood up.

Faf du Plessis who was fielding on mid-off ran backward and completed a stunning diving catch to dismiss the youngster on a meagre score of five. The SA20 league match between MICT and JSK saw one of the highest totals of the league as MICT posted 243/5 in their given 20 overs. Rassie van der Dussen scored a magnificent century smashing 104 off just 50 deliveries hitting nine fours and six sixes at a strike rate of 208. His opening partner Ryan Rickelton smashed 98 off 49 deliveries smashing six fours and eight sixes.

The first wicket fell on the score of 200 in the sixteenth over and right after that in the seventeenth over, Lizaad Williams bowled a pace-up delivery slightly overpitched which got Dewald Brevis’ bat turned after connecting the ball and getting the leading edge. The match ended in MI Cape Town’s favor as they won the match by 98 runs at the Wanderer’s stadium in Johannesburg. MICT posted a huge total of 243/5 with the openers adding 200 runs for the first wicket. Rassie van der Dussen smashed a scintillating ton while Ryan Rickelton missed out on a well-deserved century as he missed his ton by just a couple of runs scoring 98 in just 49 deliveries.

Joburg Super Kings were bowled out for 145 with 13 balls to spare and as a result, MICT won the match convincingly. The MI Cape Town is currently in the second position on the table with 5 points just behind the table toppers Durban Super Giants who defeated MICT in their first encounter. Joburg Super Kings led by Faf du Plessis are second last on the points table with one loss and one match yielding no result as it was washed out because of rain. The Joburg Super Kings will face table toppers Durban Super Giants in their next encounter on Monday whereas MI Cape Town will face Sunrisers Eastern Cape on Tuesday.
