Ahead of beginning the Asian Games campaign, Sahibzada Farhan paid some gratitude to the New Zealand batter Kane Williamson. He said that Williamson's advice dragged him back on the right track.
Farhan, in an interaction, stated that when he used to play alongside Williamson, the Kiwi batter shared some valuable tips, which proved useful in the experienced Pakistani batter's professional batting career in the future.
Kane Williamson explains the importance of domestic cricket
Farhan and Kane Williamson played together for the Rajshahi Warriors in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) during the 2005–06 season in Bangladesh. In that season, Kane Williamson offered Sahibzada Farhan some valuable technical advice regarding his batting approach and strike rotation in the powerplay.

"Kane Williamson was playing with us. He gave me a speech. I have to admit the truth. There is a slight issue with your strike rotation. You know, there are always in-outs. But I always try to top in domestic cricket and come back."
"Because I have domestic cricket with me. Even if you drop, you won't die. But if you play for the team, you will be satisfied. You will be able to play for the team. But if you fail, you can go back to domestic cricket," Farhan shared the tips he got from Williamson.
Sahibzada Farhan bounces back as a better batter than before
The words of wisdom from the mouth of Williamson motivated Farhan to bounce back in international cricket. The Pakistan batter went back to domestic cricket as per Kane Williamson's advice and came back strongly in international cricket. According to the Pakistan batter, he topped domestic cricket before marking his return for the Men in Green.
"Topping in domestic cricket and coming back. There are a lot of cricketers in domestic cricket. There is one-day, T20, and four-day. Whichever you play. So I think the biggest success I have is in domestic cricket. I go straight to play domestic cricket. I top there and come back to the team. We play leagues overall. I got advice from our PSL. I will share one piece of advice," Sahibzada Farhan added.
During a National Champions Cup, one of Pakistan's domestic leagues, Farhan scored a century for Pakistan Blues against Pakistan Golds. The captain of the Blues scored a match-winning 102-run innings from 101 balls with nine fours and a couple of 6s.
