Former South Africa pacer and current commentator Shaun Pollock recently participated in a 'This or That' game in the best batter category in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. The former cricketer picked Gujarat Titans (GT) young opener Sai Sudharsan as the best batter from all 10 franchises in the T20 tournament.
Sai Sudharsan is currently leading the Orange Cap race in IPL 2025, with 417 runs in eight matches with an impressive average of 52.12. Virat Kohli scored 392 runs from nine games at a strike rate of 144.11. Nicholas Pooran is in third place with 377 runs at an average of 47.12 and a remarkable strike rate of 204.89.

During IPL 2025, several cricketers' names were thrown at Shaun Pollock in the challenge, starting with a clash between Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Pollock chose Jaiswal over Iyer but picked him over Mitchell Marsh.
However, Jaiswal's time at the top was short-lived, as Pollock chose Nicholas Pooran over him in the next round. The commentator then continued with Pooran over Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma.
Pollock gave up on Pooran to pick Jos Buttler. He stuck with Buttler over Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Suryakumar Yadav. When asked to choose between Sai Sudharsan and Buttler, Pollock picked the left-handed batter.
The cricket-turned-commentator chose Sai over the final players, Priyansh Aarya and KL Rahul, leaving him as the ultimate winner of the challenge.
