Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper Salman Ali Agha has dropped an interesting statement on the explosive India National Cricket Team left-handed opening batsman Abhishek Sharma.
Salman Ali Agha said that he is hoping that Abhishek Sharma is recovering well from his stomach infection and added that he wants to see the explosive batter play the high-voltage match between the India National Cricket Team and the Pakistan National Cricket Team.
I hope Abhishek Sharma plays tomorrow - Salman Ali Agha

Abhishek Sharma was predicted by many to finish as the highest run-getter in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. However, the batter registered a duck in his first outing against the USA and didn't play the second match against Namibia.
It was reported that Abhishek was unhealthy when he played the match against the USA, and later it was revealed that he was hospitalised with a stomach infection.
He is doubtful for the match against the Pakistan National Cricket Team on February 15, but Salman Ali Agha is hoping that the left-handed batter will recover in time and feature in the high-profile game. Salman Ali Agha, speaking at a press conference, said:
"We can't help with weather. I hope Abhishek Sharma plays tomorrow. I hope he's recovering well. We want to play against the best"
The return of Abhishek Sharma to the playing XI would mean that the Kerala superstar Sanju Samson will have to warm the bench again, with India going with two left-handers as openers.
Usman Tariq is our trump card - Salman Ali Agha
The R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo offers great help to the spinners, and Salman Ali Agha reiterated this fact while speaking to the reporters.
He said that spin domination is on the cards during the India-Pakistan match and labelled mystery spinner Usman Tariq as their trump card.
"It is possible that spinners might dominate, but you cannot rule out the role of the pacers. We have good spinners but have good pacers too," Salman Ali Agha said.
"For us every player is equal. You guys have made Usman Tariq this big. He has been bowling well. He is our trump card," he added.
We have acclimatised well - Salman Ali Agha
Pakistan will have a big advantage over India in the blockbuster clash as they have already played a couple of matches in Colombo and know the conditions better than the Indian team. Salman Ali Agha stated:
"We have acclimatised well. We know the pitch. I won't mind if this helps us. We have to play good cricket for 40 overs."
Historically, India have destroyed Pakistan in World Cups - both 50-over and 20-over - but this time around the match is expected to be closer than ever as both teams are strong on paper and the conditions on offer promise a thriller.
"Past records don't matter. It will be a new day. You cannot change history but we can try to perform well and win this time," the Pakistan skipper concluded.
