Oval Invincibles etched their name in history by securing a third consecutive Men’s Hundred trophy under the captaincy of Sam Billings. They clinched the 2025 title with a comfortable victory over Trent Rockets, becoming just the second side to achieve a hat-trick of championships in franchise leagues.
The Sam Billings-led team secured a 26-run victory over Trent Rockets at Lord's in London on Sunday, August 31. Will Jacks scored 72 runs as the side posted 168/5 in their 100 balls. Leg-spinner Nathan Sowter took 3 wickets for just 25 runs and was named 'Player of the Match' in the summit clash.

Nathan Sowter Named Player of the Match for His Bowling
Batting first, Oval Invincibles put up 168/5 despite looking set for a big score. Will Jacks scored 72 from 41 balls and Jordan Cox added 40 off 28. Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was the pick of the Rockets’ bowlers with two wickets for 40 runs.
In reply, Trent Rockets collapsed to 37/3 as Tom Banton (23) and Joe Root (10) departed early. The middle order struggled to settle. Stoinis counterattacked with 64 runs from 38 balls, but his knock could not prevent the side from being restricted to 142/8.
Saqib Mahmood, Tom Curran, and Adam Zampa picked up one wicket each, while Nathan Sowter changed the match in their favor with a three-wicket haul.
