At the end of the over, Sam Konstas was heading towards his teammate Usman Khawaja while Australia was the fielding side at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). While the 19-year-old was walking towards Khawaja, he crossed Kohli's line. Virat made shoulder contact, and the situation immediately turned heated. Both of the players turned towards each other and had a war of words.
During the recent discussion, Sam Konstas stated that Virat Kohli and he simply moved away after the incident, as it's all part of the game. After the match, the Indian batting stalwart wished best wishes to the Aussie batter.
“He just shouldered me, and then we moved on. It’s all part of the game. After the match, he wished me all the best for the future." who is now part of the Australia ‘A’ team, told TOI.
San Konstas received a standing ovation from the MCG crowd
Sam Konstas is currently in India with the Australia A cricket team for a couple of multi-day matches. His career graph did not go high after making his Test debut as it could have. He was brilliant against India with the bat at the MCG, scoring a fearless 60 runs off 65 balls against India.
Again, the star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Konstas did something unthinkable in the middle. To take on Bumrah, Konstas played ramp and reverse-ramp shots. The batter received a standing ovation from the crowd for playing an entertaining knock that took Australia a step ahead in the game.
The intensity Konstas showed in his very first match for Australia did not last long, as he was dropped soon from the team due to a lack of runs from his bat. The opener last played in a Test match for Australia during the Australia tour of the West Indies in 202, where he got just 50 runs in 6 innings at an average of 8.33 and a strike rate of 33.11.

In the ongoing series against India A, the batter showed some glimpses of grace with the Australia A cricket team, but he is yet to convert a promising start into a big innings to become eligible again for selection for the senior national cricket team in the longest format of the game. However, the batter responded in his usual way to reflect his current form.
“I am in very good form, pretty much smashing them,” Konstas said.
