Sameer Rizvi has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 30 lakh. The 20-year-old is a right-handed batsman and has already made his debut in the IPL.
He became a household name after the previous auction when Chennai Super Kings signed him up for a whopping amount of INR 8.4 crore. The Chennai-based outfit is not really known for splashing huge cash on uncapped players but they decided to spend big to sign the Uttar Pradesh batter.
He caught the attention of the cricketing world even before the auction with his exploits in the UP T20 League. He smashed 455 runs in the competition with the help of two centuries. Sameer also hit the most sixes for his team in the tournament.
The right-handed batsman announced his arrival in the IPL in style by hitting Rashid Khan for a six. However, he could not make a big impact in his debut season. He played 8 games and scored a modest 51 runs.

Delhi Capitals have signed up Sameer Rizvi for 95 lakh in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The only other team to bid for the batsman was Chennai Super Kings.
