Just days after the dramatic Asia Cup 2025, where tensions between India and Pakistan dominated headlines, another controversy broke out in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. Former Pakistan women’s captain Sana Mir has intensified tensions with her “Azad Kashmir” remark.

During Pakistan’s match against Bangladesh in Colombo, Sana Mir referred to batter Natalia Pervaiz’s hometown as “Azad Kashmir” to make things worse between India and Pakistan. Sana Mir said on air, “A lot of these players are new; Natalia comes from Kashmir… Azad Kashmir, but has played most of her cricket in Lahore.”

India-Pakistan tensions escalate after Sana Mir’s on-air comment about PoK

Notably, Natalia Pervaiz hails from Bandala in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). On the other hand, Sana Mir is part of the commentary panel for the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The timing of the remark adds fuel to already tense India-Pakistan relations.

Earlier this year, the Pahalgam attack on April 22 claimed 26 lives, prompting India to respond with Operation Sindoor. With border tensions still high, the former Pakistan captain’s comment raised many eyebrows.

However, it is being said that Sana Mir had deliberately made that “Azad Kashmir” remark on live TV after being pressured by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi.

Notably, the BCCI is yet to react to the latest remark influenced by Munir. Now, it remains to be seen how things will unfold during the India-Pakistan match in Colombo on October 5.

BCCI orders Indian Women’s Cricket Team to ignore Pakistan in ICC Women's World Cup 2025 clash

As reported by Revsportz journalist Rohit Juglan, the Indian women’s cricket team has been instructed by the BCCI not to shake hands or engage with the Pakistan women’s team during their ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 clash on October 5 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

The Indian players have been told to follow the same approach the men’s team took against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025, avoiding all on-field and off-field interactions.

Additionally, the journalist also claimed that Pakistan’s national teams, including men’s, women’s, and under-19 squads, have been sent clear instructions to take provocative actions against India whenever they face them on the field at any level.

Asim Munir behind escalating India-Pakistan tensions in cricket!!

And the man behind this is Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir, who is escalating tensions with India. It was all planned by Asim Munir. Munir is putting pressure on the PCB chief, Mohsin Naqvi, to do all the things that have been making headlines over the past 15-20 days.

It is being said that Naqvi is aware that such actions could backfire, but is forced to do them under the Pakistan Army chief general’s pressure since he is part of the Pakistan government as the Interior Minister. Despite the escalating drama, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is reportedly not involved in any of these actions. It is Asim Munir who wants to provoke India.

The Revsportz journalist revealed on his YouTube channel, “Pakistan would do so many low and vile things that would make headlines. It was the message from Rawalpindi. However, Shahbaz Sharif is not involved in any such activity. It was all planned by Asim Munir. He is escalating things with India.”
