The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have tickled Virat Kohli's IPL side, Royal Challengers Bangalore, with a controversial tweet of Avesh Khan's iconic moment from IPL 2023, where the bowler finished the chase, earning a one-wicket victory for the Super Giants.

This incident, marked by Avesh Khan's derogatory actions, was back in IPL 2023; however, the LSG side has tried to reinstate the Royal Challengers Bangalore with their latest social media post.

The RCB fans have also mercilessly trolled the IPL franchise and tagged them as 'trophyless' since RCB won their maiden trophy last season in IPL 2025.

Avesh Khan held his nerve, leading the way for LSG's one-wicket victory over RCB

Back in the IPL 2023 match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The game was an entertaining saga, with more than 420 runs scored and 27 sixes hit across the two innings.

The Lucknow Super Giants pacer Avesh Khan was the last man standing in the crease alongside Ravi Bishnoi. Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis played match-winning knocks in the game.

After having run the runs on the last ball, which helped LSG win the match by a wicket, the batter was pumped up and threw the helmet to the ground. However, after the incident, Avesh was reprimanded for having violated the IPL's Code of Conduct, as he was booked under a Level 1 offence.

RCB had taken a dig at Avesh Khan and LSG after a terrific win in IPL 2025

Royal Challengers Bangalore had taken a further dig at Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer Avesh Khan after a thrilling win at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on the 27th of May in IPL 2025. The dig wasn't just about the win but was on the brutal take of Avesh's infamous helmet-throwing celebration back in IPL 2023.

Coming to IPL 2025, RCB took sweet revenge when their stand-in skipper Jitesh Sharma led his side to their highest successful run chase in the history of the tournament. After hitting the winning runs, the right-handed batter made a similar gesture; however, he did not throw the helmet to the ground.

This came when Rishabh Pant helped his team to a huge score with a spectacular 118-run inning, while Jitesh Sharma helped them chase a huge total of 228 runs, having smashed 85* runs off 33 balls. They won the match by a huge 6-wicket margin.
