Virat Kohli’s flop show continues in the ongoing three-match Test series against New Zealand at home. The Indian cricket team is currently taking on New Zealand in the second Test at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

After suffering an embarrassing eight-wicket defeat in Bengaluru, India started off well by bowling out the New Zealand cricket team for just 259 runs in the first innings of the ongoing second Test at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Virat Kohli falls for just 1 run as India faces pressure in Pune Test

However, Indian batters yet again found themselves in trouble against the strong Kiwi attack, as the captain Rohit Sharma was cleaned bowled for a 9-ball duck by the senior pacer Tim Southee on Day 2 of the ongoing Pune Test in the third of their innings.

Then, Shubman Gill showed a glimpse of his form, but Mitchell Santner sent him back to the pavilion for 30 runs off 72 balls. Well, once again, all hopes were pinned on Virat Kohli, who came to bat at his usual batting position at No. 4 in the ongoing Pune Test after batting at No. 3 in the Bengaluru Test.

However, the former Indian captain has yet again left Team India, and the fans disappointed only, as he was dismissed for just one run, leaving the hosts reeling at 56/3. On the fourth ball of the 24th over, the crowd in Pune was in shock as Mitchell Santner cleaned bowled the dashing right-hander.

Virat Kohli dismisses on the worst shot of his career

It was a low full toss, heading straight for the middle stump, and Virat Kohli missed it completely while attempting an uncharacteristic shot across the line. The ball slid under his bat and crashed into the middle and leg stumps. Kohli was frustrated with himself as he walked off.

After his failure, Indian cricket fans went berserk at Virat Kohli, suggesting the team management and selectors drop him from the Test team while some urging him to go back to London, where he has been residing with his family since the birth of his second child, Akaay.

Some fans have been questioning Kohli’s practice for the Test series, as he spends most of the time away from the team. He recently left the Indian team and went to Mumbai to be with his young family, and even he was seen attending Kirtan in the city.

Here's how fans mock Virat Kohli after another flop show against New Zealand:

Notably, Virat Kohli's recent scores are 6, 17, 47, and 29* in the recent Test series against Bangladesh. He made 0 and 70 in the first Test against New Zealand and is now dismissed for 1 in the first innings of the ongoing second Test between India and New Zealand at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Kohli’s wicket led to India’s batting collapse, as did Yashasvi Jaiswal (30), Rishabh Pant (18), and Sarfaraz Khan (11) for just 25 runs in the ongoing second Test against New Zealand in Pune. Team India is still trailing by 160 runs, and they have now only four wickets to fill the gap.
