With the century against the Bangladesh women's national cricket team, Verma becomes the first-ever woman cricketer to score a century in the Asian Games. With the century of Shafali Verma, India, in the first innings of the match, secured a total of 195 runs in 20 overs in exchange for only 4 wickets. Verma remained not out for 100 runs off 49 balls with three 4s and a staggering amount of nine 6s, which took her strike rate to 204.08.
