After taking action against the team managers, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly set to take action against fast-bowler Shaheen Afridi as well for misbehaving with coaches.

According to reports in Pakistani media, the former Pakistan T20I captain had misbehaved with the coaches during the tours of Ireland and England in May. His misconduct was especially noticeable during a practice session at Headingley in England.

Cricket Pakistan has reported that Shaheen Afridi and batting coach Mohammad Yousuf were involved in a verbal spat during the training session. It all started when Yousuf pointed out that the pacer was bowling too many no-balls.

Shaheen Afridi was not impressed with Yousuf's comments and responded: "Let me practice for now and don’t talk in the middle." It led to a heated confrontation between the two. After the incident, Shaheen Afridi was reprimanded by the team management and he had to apologize to Yousuf in front of the entire team. The matter was dismissed after the apology.

PCB to take action against Shaheen Afridi:

Even though the team management had dismissed the matter, the PCB has not. The board recently took action against the team managers for failing to take action against Shaheen Afridi. Wahab Riaz, who was serving as the senior team manager, and Mansoor Rana were sacked by the PCB earlier this week.

The board has continued its investigation and is likely to take action against Shaheen Afridi as well. As per the news outlet, the fast bowler may not be considered for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh at home. The PCB is also looking into the formation of player lobbies within the team.

The PCB has been taking some big calls following Pakistan's dismal show in the T20 World Cup last month. The Men in Green bowed out of the competition at the group stage. They started their campaign with a shock loss against the USA before losing against India as well. They did beat Canada and Ireland but those wins were not enough for a place in the Super 8s. On the other hand, India went on to win the tournament without losing a single game.
