Shardul Thakur bagged a magnificent hat-trick against Meghalaya and left the opposition struggling at 2/6. The India National Cricket Team pacer became the fifth Mumbai player in the history of the Ranji Trophy to record a hat-trick, joining the elite list.

Shardul Thakur removed Anirudh B, Sumit Kumar, and Jaskirat in the third over of the match to record the hat-trick

Sharudul Thakur took the new ball for Mumbai and immediately made an impact for the team as removed Meghalaya opener Nishanta Chakraborty for a four-ball duck. After that, he made sure that he brought his best with the ball in the third over as he rattled the opposition's batting lineup.

Shardul Thakur removed Anirudh B, Sumit Kumar, and Jaskirat in the third over of the match to record the hat-trick. The fast bowler yet again stepped up for his team when they needed the most as in a must-win game for Mumbai, he has looked a class apart.

In the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25, Shardul Thakur has been nothing short of exceptional. Not only with the ball, he also has been staggering with the bat as well. In the last match against Jammu and Kashmir, he slammed fifty in the first innings and then followed it up with a century in the second innings.
