Shikhar Dhawan confesses girlfriend supplying in Rohit Sharma's room

Former Indian veteran Shikhar Dhawan has always been an entertaining personality in the world of cricket. Be it on or off the field, Dhawan has been a fearless figure.
Recently, the ex-India opening batter revealed a dark secret from his playing days with India A during a tour to Australia. Shikhar Dhawan opened up that during the tour back in 2006, he made a girlfriend in Australia and would sneak her into his hotel room, which he shared with Rohit Sharma.
Shikhar Dhawan revealed he started the season with a half-century in the practice game, and he progressed in the tour with better results day-by-day.
"After every game, I would go over to meet up with Ellen (not her real name), and I soon started smuggling her into my hotel room, which I was sharing with Rohit Sharma," revealed Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan recalls an incident from the tour with India A
Shikhar Dhawan, while recalling his days playing for India A on the Australian tour, also recalled teammate Rohit Sharma, who snapped at him every time the former brought his girlfriend into the side.
Dhawan reveals, "Now and then, he (Rohit Sharma) would complain in Hindi. 'Will you let me sleep?'"
Dhawan admitted that the tour was a huge opportunity for them, as good performances could earn them a spot in the India National Cricket Team. However, despite starting well, Dhawan's performance dipped continuously as the tour progressed.
"There was a good chance that if I had performed consistently on that Australia tour, I would have made it to the senior Indian side, but my performance kept dipping," Dhawan added.
Shikhar Dhawan's international career in brief
The left-handed opener Dhawan was titled 'Mr. ICC' during his playing days for India. He made his debut for India back in 2010, when he made a debut in the ODI format and followed it with his debut in T20Is in 2011.
The veteran played his last ODI game against Bangladesh in 2022, after which he announced his retirement in 2024. Dhawan made his Test debut against Australia back in 2013, and in 34 Test games, the opener amassed 2315 runs at an average of 40.61.
In a decorated ODI career alongside Rohit Sharma, Dhawan went on to score 6793 runs in the one-day format, as he represented India in 167 ODI games. The veteran also scored 1759 runs for India in the shortest format of the game.
Shikhar Dhawan retired from international cricket on 24th of August 2024, with 24 international hundreds to his name.
Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma: A dynamic batting pair for India
Dhawan received immense praise from the Indian cricket fans as he paired alongside Rohit Sharma in the white-ball format of the game.
The duo excelled especially in the ODI format, as they feature in the list alongside former record holders like the veteran duo of Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar or Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden.
Dhawan and Rohit have represented India as an opening pair in 115 ODI matches, of which the duo has also remained unbeaten on 2 occasions. They have amassed a record fourth-highest 5148 runs between them, averaging 45.55.
Their best opening partnership came with a 210-run partnership. The duo had 18-century and 15-half-century partnerships between them for the Men in Blue.
