Two players from the Australian women's team were allegedly molested in Indore while going to a cafe from the team hotel on Thursday (October 23).
Australia are currently in India for the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2025. The Australian team is staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel along with the rest of their squad.
Incident occurred in the Khajrana Road area on Thursday morning
Following the incident, both cricketers sent an SOS message immediately. The security officers arrived at the scene as soon as they received the SOS notification. As per reports, the incident occurred in the Khajrana Road area on Thursday morning.

Australian team's security manager, Danny Simmons, filed a complaint at the MIG police station on the same day. After receiving the complaint, the police registered an FIR and arrested the accused, Aqeel Khan, who was on a bike during the incident.
Accused arrested after molesting Australian players
PTI has reported that the police acted swiftly and arrested the accused on Friday. Sub-Inspector Nidhi Raghuvanshi said the two cricketers were on their way to a cafe when a man on a motorcycle started following them. The man touched the cricketers inappropriately before riding off on his bike.
Both players immediately contacted their team's security officer, who coordinated with local security liaison officers and dispatched a vehicle for assistance. Assistant Commissioner of Police Himani Mishra also sprang into action quickly and met the Australian stars.
The police recorded their statements and registered a First Information Report under Section 74 (use of criminal force to outrage a woman's modesty) and Section 78 (stalking) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the MIG police station.

The police official also revealed that a bystander noted the suspect's motorcycle number, based on which the accused, Aqeel Khan, was apprehended.
"Khan has prior criminal cases registered against him, and an investigation is ongoing," she added.
“CA can confirm two members of the Australian Women’s team were approached and touched inappropriately by a motorcyclist while walking to a cafe in Indore," Cricket Australia said.
Meanwhile, Australia have already booked their place in the semifinal of the ongoing World Cup. Their next game is against South Africa on Saturday (October 25) in Indore.
