Two Captains-Two Interviews: India vs Pakistan final in Asia Cup 2025 sets new norms in World Cricket
The rivalry between India and Pakistan in the field of cricket has been long-standing; however, this is the first time that a final of the tournament has witnessed a bizarre incident. The Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav spoke to Ravi Shastri, while Salman Agha spoke to his own countryman Waqar Younis. This happened because PCB had requested ACC to keep a neutral presenter for the Asia Cup final.
Last time these two teams met during the toss, a huge controversy erupted as the Indian skipper had snubbed the customary handshake with the opponent skipper; hence, adequate measures have been taken by the regulatory board.
"Ravi Shastri and Waqar Younis will conduct toss interviews with the India and Pakistan captains after PCB's request to Asian Cricket Council to keep a neutral presenter for Asia Cup final #INDvsPAK," a report from PTI read.

Pakistan lost 9 wickets for 33 runs as the Pakistan middle-order collapsed in no time
After Sahibzada Farhan made a convincing start to the Pakistan innings, he was backed by the experienced batter Fakhar Zaman, who also scored 46 as his opening partner. After the two batters were dismissed, the middle-order could not hold onto the Pakistan innings.
Saim Ayub at no. 3 was the last batter with a double-digit score, while all other batters, including the likes of skipper Salman Agha and Shaheen Afridi, have been dismissed for single-digit scores.
The team was bowled out in no time, after Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel shared the 8 wickets within their spell. Jasprit Bumrah helped them to wind up the tail with perfect death-over accuracy.
Abhishek Sharma departs early; Can India lift the Asia Cup with their best batter back in the pavilion?
Coming in to chase the total of 147, India never needed to accelerate. However, for Abhishek Sharma, fearless hitting is his natural reflex. He rushed and hurried on to Faheem Ashraf and was dismissed on the first ball of the second over.
With India's most in-form batter back in the dugout, India is in deep danger. However, Tilak Varma, the other batter who has shown some consistency in the tournament, once again stood by his team and contributed significantly to the chase. Tilak has some remarkable average batting in any position from 3 to 7 for India.
