Shreyas Gopal has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 30 lakh. He is a leg-spinner and is also a handy lower-order batsman. In domestic cricket, the 31-year-old plies his trade for Karnataka.
Gopal has played for three teams in the IPL so far - Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. His journey in the IPL began with Mumbai Indians in 2014.
He stayed with Mumbai Indians for three seasons but hardly got the chance to showcase his talent. In three seasons, he played only 6 games for the Mumbai-based outfit.
His fortunes finally changed when he joined Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2018. Shreyas remained an integral member of the team in his first three years with the franchise. In IPL 2018, he played 11 games and picked up 11 wickets. In the following two seasons, he picked up 20 and 10 wickets.
In IPL 2021, he played 3 games for the Royals and could not pick any wicket. In 2022, he played for Mumbai Indians once again before representing Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2024.
