Fans on X reacted after Indian batter Shreyas Iyer slammed a blistering ton against the Netherlands in the ICC World Cup 2023. The last league game of the tournament is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 

Shreyas Iyer has been the shining light for his team in the ongoing match 45 of the tournament. The batter has set the stage on fire with his blistering stroke play and has put his team in the dominating position in their last league fixture of the tournament. 

Shreyas Iyer has played a breathtaking innings at the Chinnaswamy and has given a great Diwali gift to the crowd. The batter came to bat when India lost Rohit Sharma (61). He steadied the innings with Virat Kohli (51) and then unleashed himself putting Netherlands bowlers under pressure. 

Shreyas Iyer timed the ball to perfection and made sure that he registered his first century in the ICC World Cup. The right-hander brought up his ton in the 46th over and assured that India would get to 350 runs with ease. He played some outrageous shots in his innings as well that left many stunned. 

Shreyas Iyer batted with a strike rate of around 130 and also scored the most runs for India as a middle-order batter in a World Cup edition. In the last two games, he missed his ton by small margins but he made sure that he got to his century this time around. 

Shreyas Iyer ended with the knock of unbeaten 128 runs off 94 balls. He smashed 10 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. His rollicking knock powered India to a gigantic total of 410 runs.
