India captain Shubman Gill, T20I opener Abhishek Sharma, Team India fast bowler Gurnoor Brar, star pacer Arshdeep Singh, and IPL star players Prabhsimran Singh and Ramandeep Singh are all set to play the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League as the marquee players.
Punjab's own franchise league will start on August 30 and will run till September 13 at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium in Mohali. There will be a total of 450 players who will try their luck in the auction. The main target for hosting the league is to provide the aspirant Punjab cricketers a platform to showcase their talents. In the presence of international star cricketers, the state league will be glamorous.
Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma as marquee players in Sher-e-Punjab T20 League
Shubman will play in the league as the marquee signing of the Fazilka Falcons; Abhishek Sharma will be the star attraction of Amritsar Soormas; Arshdeep Singh is set to play for the Ludhiana Lions, and Prabhsimran Singh and Ramandeep Singh will play for the Jalandhar Warriors and Mohali Kings, respectively, while Gurnoor Brar is signed to play for the Bathinda Royals.

Sher-e-Punjab T20 League is an important platform to showcase talent: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Man
The Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, said that the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League will become the platform for cricketing talent across the state. The star players like Shubman Gill, Arshdeep Singh, and Abhishek Sharma will be inspiring moments for the emerging talents.
"Punjab has always been a land of extraordinary cricketing talent, and the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League is an important platform to showcase that talent. The presence of players like Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Arshdeep Singh will inspire the next generation of cricketers across the state. We want Punjab to continue producing players who can represent India at the highest level," said Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
In the presence of Gill and Arshdeep, the league is inaugurated by PCA Secretary Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer and President Amarjeet Singh Mehta. There will be a total of six teams that will be in the fight to become the champion of the tournament.

At the star-studded event, Shubman Gill mentioned that the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League will be a brilliant platform for the young cricketers of Punjab. Through the league, the young guns will find a path to progress up to the national team. The Team India skipper thanked the Punjab Cricket Association for the initiative.
