As Gautam Gambhir has been repeatedly blamed for having a strained relationship with senior Indian cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravichandran Ashwin, the reason for which they have considered retiring from the longest format of the game, the current Indian skipper relieves Gambhir of such vile accusations.
The likes of Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli, who have been part of the Indian team since Gambhir also played for India, have never claimed a disagreement on any matter with the Indian coach. But defying social media claims, Gill has confirmed that he bonds well with the Indian coach and often discusses plans for the betterment of the Indian team.
"Our relationship is good. We strike conversations about how to make players secure. Also, we talk about preparing a pool of fast bowlers," Gill said to PTI on his equation with head coach Gautam Gambhir.
