In the first Test between India and Bangladesh at Chennai, Shubman Gill was dismissed for dismissed for an eighth-ball duck by Hasan Mahmud. It was an unfortunate dismissal for Gill as he was caught down the leg side by the wicketkeeper Litton Das.

Shubman Gill walked in at No. 3 after the fall of India's captain Rohit Sharma. He looked to bide his time but was finally dismissed for another low score in Test cricket. With this innings, his place in the team comes under even more scrutiny.

After another failure in the red-ball format, he was brutally trolled on social media for his flop show. While some advised him to play just the ODI format, some also called him the 'Babar Azam' of Indian cricket.

Hasan Mahmud destroys India's top order

After winning the toss earlier, Bangladesh elected to field first and both teams played with three seamers in their attack. It was a horror morning for India's top order as Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli were all dismissed for low scores.

Rohit was dismissed for just 6 runs while Gill followed him with a duck. Virat Kohli walked in at No. 4 and looked in good touch but he was trapped in his old plan as he tried to play a ball away from the body but got an edge straight to the wicketkeeper Litton Das.

All the three wickets were taken by Hasan Mahmud. While opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is still at the crease, India will also expect their middle and lower order to bail them out of a tricky situation once again.
