Simon Harmer bamboozled by another spectacle from Jasprit Bumrah in 2nd Test

South African spinner Simon Harmer, who flaunts a genuine batting record in first-class cricket, had been dismissed cheaply for the third consecutive time by Jasprit Bumrah.
The Proteas have thrived for much longer than expected, all thanks to an exceptional century from Senuran Muthusamy and a quickfire innings by Marco Jansen. South Africa went past 450 as they batted for most of Day 2 and took the innings deep into the third session.
South Africa is likely to preserve a very different mindset than India on this track; when they come out to bowl, their mentality will be fueled by the fact that they already have a lead in the series, and India will be under pressure to avoid a clean sweep in the home series.
Jasprit Bumrah castles Simon Harmer's stumps with an absolute gun delivery
India struggled for wickets on Day 2 of the Guwahati Test. The first session went wicketless, while Ravindra Jadeja picked up a breakthrough in the second. The final session finally led to the dismissal of Muthusamy by Mohammed Siraj.
Jasprit Bumrah was then called back into the attack against his favourite prey, Simon Harmer. Harmer has been dismissed by Bumrah across all three of this Test series. Be it LBWs or clean bold, Bumrah has got the best of the Protea batter on all three occasions since the Eden Gardens match-up.
Pitching it on and around the off-stump, the ball shaped away from the bat as it went on to smash the off stump of the Protea no. 10. Harmer, bowled by Bumrah, has been the sight of this series.

Marco Jansen is nearing his maiden International century in Guwahati
The South African lower-order has done a tremendous job, as after Kyle Verreynne and Senuran Muthusamy's huge partnership for the seventh wicket, the eighth-wicket partnership between Muthusamy and Marco Jansen paved the way for an exceptional Test inning.
Jansen came into bat with less than 350 runs on the board for South Africa, and the lanky all-rounder went monstrous with his big hits. He started a counterattack from the very first ball and struck with a strike rate of over 100 throughout his innings.
Jansen, who at the time of writing was batting on 93*, was nearing his maiden international hundred. The second Proteas batter to near a maiden international ton in the same innings of a Test match, after Senuran Muthusamy scored his maiden hundred here in Guwahati.
South Africa might go past 500 with Marco Jansen nearing the three figures
South Africa went past 450 with ease as Marco Jansen never stopped relishing his time in the Guwahati ground and kept accumulating runs at a quick rate. The Proteas tested India's work rate as they batted for more than 150 overs.
Even Jasprit Bumrah bowled more than 32 overs, and was nearing the highest ever in his career, which was 36 overs in a Test inning. South Africa targeted a 500-run mark, as no visiting team has ever surpassed the 500-run mark in the last 3 years of Test cricket in India.
