Australia's tour of Sri Lanka will conclude this week when both teams take on each other in the second game of the ongoing two-match ODI series. The final game of the series will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday (February 14).

After suffering the whitewash in Tests, Sri Lanka bounced back in style to beat Australia by 49 runs in the first ODI. The win has also given Sri Lanka an unassailable lead in the two-match series. With momentum on their side, Sri Lanka will be looking to make the most of it and beat Australia in the second ODI as well to complete a clean sweep.

Batting first in the first ODI, Sri Lanka scored 214 runs. They were off to a poor start and were reeling at 55/5 before a century from their captain Charith Asalanka guided them to a respectable total. In reply, Australia hardly looked in contention to chase down the total on the tough pitch and were all out for 165 runs.

SL vs AUS Weather Report And Pitch Report Of Colombo - 2nd ODI, Australia tour of Sri Lanka 2025:

The average first innings total at the R. Premadasa Stadium is 225 runs and anything close to 250 runs will be a very good total. Last year when Sri Lanka hosted India for three ODIs at the same venue, neither of the two teams managed to reach the 250-run mark even once.

Conclusion:

While rain could make its presence felt in Colombo on the SL vs AUS game day, the full game is unlikely to be washed out entirely. Both teams will be desperate to win the game. Sri Lanka are eyeing a series win while Australia will need to win the game to draw level.
