But now, the joy has doubled with delightful news, as India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana is all set to marry her longtime boyfriend and popular music composer Palash Muchhal this November.

Notably, Palash is an Indian music composer, singer, and songwriter.
At a recent event in Indore, Palash confirmed the big news with a light-hearted remark. He said at an event at the State Press Club, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore... bas Itna hi kehna hai (that’s all I want to say). Main ne aapko headline de diya (I’ve given you the headline).”

Soon after, social media was flooded with heart emojis and congratulatory messages, with fans calling it a “perfect match of cricket and melody.” Friends close to the couple revealed that the bond between Smriti and Palash grew stronger during the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana created history in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 final against South Africa at Navi Mumbai. She broke former Indian captain Mithali Raj’s long-standing record for the most runs by an Indian in a single World Cup edition.
Coming into the final with 389 runs, Mandhana needed just 21 more to surpass Mithali’s 409 from 2017, and she achieved it with style during the first innings. Mandhana has been in sensational form throughout the tournament, scoring consistently and playing a crucial role in India’s historic win.
