Smriti Mandhana has been coined as one of the greatest ever cricketers from India. She was a deputy to the Indian captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, and contributed immensely to their success. She amassed a record, stashing 434 runs in the nine innings.

In a sweet moment of surprise, Smriti Mandhana was left speechless by a stunning surprise from her fiancé and popular singer-composer Palash Muchhal. This happened at the same venue where India won the ICC Women's World Cup final.
In a video that went viral after Palash shared it through his Instagram handle, he is seen leading Smirit to the middle of the pitch with a blindfold on their eyes. As she finally removed her eye patch, she found herself in the middle of the DY Patil Stadium and her longtime boyfriend down on one knee.
Palash proposed to with a ring, giving her the biggest surprise of her life. Smriti, delighted and emotional, accepted the proposal as they exchanged rings. “She said yes,” Palash wrote as he shared the heartwarming video.

Smriti Mandhana to tie the knot on Sunday
As Palash proposed to Smriti, all their friends rushed to the centre of the pitch, as they wanted to celebrate the occasion with the couple. Even Palak Muchhal, the famous Bollywood singer and Palash's sister, joined them at the venue.
Both Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal revealed that they are going to tie the knot on the 23rd of November. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the couple after the announcement was made.
Smriti timed her wedding perfectly, just like her cover drives. She is at the best phase of her career as she won a World Cup recently and will be playing another next year.
