According to reports, after Smriti Mandhana's father, Srinivasan, had to be hospitalised on the day of her wedding, her fiancé, Palash Muchhal, had also been rushed to the hospital to receive some treatment.
Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana's marriage ceremony has been making the rounds on the internet. Several performances from her pre-wedding rituals and cherished moments with their friends and families have kept the fans on their toes. But amid so much anticipation, major upsetting news has ruined it all.

Smriti Mandhana, who recently won the World Cup, announced her wedding to the Indian composer, singer, and her longtime boyfriend, Palash Muchhal. The couple proposed marriage and were all set to tie the knot on Sunday, the 23rd of November, but the ceremony was interrupted by major health trouble for the cricketer's father.
Later on Monday, the NDTV reported that, alongside her father, her fiancé, Palash Muchhal, also had to be rushed to the hospital.
“Palash had to go to a private hospital for treatment due to a viral infection and increased acidity. However, the issue wasn’t serious. In fact, after receiving treatment, Palash has already departed the hospital for the hotel," the report read on Palash Muchhal's health.
Tuhin Mishra reveals details behind the marriage postponement
Though it was known since yesterday that due to her father's ill health, Smriti Mandhana had to postpone the wedding, the details have just been reported by her manager, Tuhin Mishra.
“Smriti’s father, Mr. Shrinivas Mandhana, was having breakfast this morning, and his health started deteriorating. We waited, thinking he would recover soon, but it didn’t improve. So we thought not to take any risk and called an ambulance, and he has been taken to the hospital. He is under observation," said Mishra.
“Smriti is very close to her father. So, she has decided to postpone the marriage, which was going to happen today, till her father is fine. The doctor has said he (Mandhana’s father) will have to be in the hospital for the time being. We are also in shock and hope that he recovers quickly because it’s a big occasion for everyone," he added.
He further asserted that, “So, Smriti is very clear, she wants her father to be okay first, and later she will get married. I would request you to respect the family’s privacy at this time."
Health Update of Smriti Mandhana's Father
The Indian cricketer's family doctor, Dr. Naman Shah, said that a medical team is currently monitoring the health conditions of her father.
“At around 1.30 pm, Mr. Srinivas Mandhana got left-sided chest pain, we call it ‘angina’ in medical terms. As the symptoms surfaced, his son called me, we sent an ambulance, he was shifted to the hospital. We found out in ECG, other reports, that cardiac enzymes are elevated, hence we need to keep him in observation," he told PTI.
“Blood Pressure is also elevated; efforts are on to lower it. The whole team is monitoring. If the situation exacerbates, we will have to do angiography. Smriti and her family is in contact with us, hopefully he will be stable by tomorrow," the doctor confirmed.
