India Women National Cricket Team spinner Sneh Rans achieved an incredible feat for the team in Test cricket. She became the first spinner from her team to take 10 wickets in the match in the longest format of the game.

Sneh Rana achieved the feat during the recently concluded one-off Test against South Africa Women's National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and it saw Harmanpreet Kaur-led side dominating with both bat and ball.

While it was the batting masterclass from the entire team, Sneh Rana stole the limelight with the ball and made sure that she complimented batters pretty well and took her team to glory with a massive margin and sealed the game on the last day of the match.

Sneh Rana oozed her class with the ball in the first innings. The right-arm bowler made a mockery of the South Africa Women's National Cricket Team in the first innings. She spun a web around the batters and picked 8 wickets, bundling out the opposition for just 266 runs in response to India's 603.

In the second innings, Sneh Rana came up with a decent performance as he picked two wickets and completed a 10-fer in the match. This was for the first time that a spinner from India achieved the feat. Her sensational effort saw the team ending South Africa's innings for 373 runs in the second innings and then winning the game by 10 wickets.

Overall, Sneh Rana became just the second Indian bowler to take 10 wickets with the ball in a women's Test match. Her superlative effort with the ball saw her winning the Player of the Match award as well. Earlier with the bat Shafali Verma (205), Smriti Mandhana (149), Jemimah Rodrigues (55), Harmanpreet Kaur (69) and Richa Ghosh (86) powered India to 603 runs.

Feeling great to contribute to my team - Sneh Rana

Sneh Rana talked about her performance with the ball and was elated to contribute to the team. She talked about her plans and made a bold claim, saying that after her heroics with the ball, people will now have different thinking about off-spinners. Speaking after the game, she explained:

"Feeling great to contribute to my team. Amazing feeling, I don't have words to describe my feeling. My body is very fresh (chuckles). It was difficult initially for the spinners as there was no turn-on offer. Later on, there was turn and bounce.

"I want to give credit to the SA batters who batted well. Hats off to the Indian players. Playing Test match cricket is special and to be the Player of the Match is unbelievable. People think it's easy to play off-spinners but they'll think otherwise after today."

Coming to the series between India Women and South Africa Women, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side after winnning 3-0 in the ODIs, selaed the Test match as well. The focus now turns into T20Is.
