Indian standby captain Shikhar Dhawan stated that there hasn’t been any information to them on Suryakumar Yadav joining the Indian test team as an injury replacement. However, he was very confident about Suryakumar Yadav’s technique and he has been a revelation so far in international cricket.
His consistent knocks in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka earned him the man of the series award on his debut ODI series and became the fifth Indian to do so. He was in excellent touch taking off from where he left on his debut T20 series against England and he is a match-winner with the bat for sure.

Shikhar Dhawan revealed that there hasn’t been any news yet of Suryakumar moving to the test squad immediately as a replacement to the three players injured in the squad. He added that the strategy won’t be changed until they receive any news or information on it.

Shikhar Dhawan Feels Surykumar Yadav Has An Excellent Technique
Shikhar Dhawan felt that Suryakumar has been batting well in both the limited-overs format and he was very confident of Mumbaikar’s technique to suit the test format as well. He added that Suryakumar’s smartness will be an added advantage to the Indian test and was very confident on Suryakumar doing well.
“He’s batting very well, whether it’s ODIs or T20Is. He has vast experience in domestic cricket too, and he’s a very mature player. Of course, if he gets an opportunity, if the selectors think he should be in the Test team, he’s a very well-equipped technical batsman. He’s a smart batsman, a smart thinker of the game. So I’m sure he’ll do very well in any format,” He added.
