Former Pakistan national team fast bowler Sohail Khan revealed a heated moment with the Indian national cricket team superstar Virat Kohli, which he still remembers. During his recent appearance on Fawad Alam's YouTube podcast, the former fast bowler explained the heated altercation with Virat during a World Cup match.
The match in which Sohail Khan exchanged a few fiery words was during the India vs Pakistan 2015 World Cup group stage match in Adelaide. In that match, Virat Kohli scored a century, and Sohail claimed a 5-for, including the wicket of the centurion batter.

While speaking on the podcast, the former fast bowler said that he had a heated confrontation in the middle. This might not be among the most discussed exchanges of words during a match, but that incident left a permanent mark on the Pakistani bowler's mind.
Sohail Khan told Fawad Alam during the podcast that Virat Kohli has achieved a lot and will get more in life, but he will not hold himself back if the opposing batter's seemed not appropriate on his eyes.

What exactly was exchanged between these two cricketers that day, through the words, is not clear, but Sohail Khan said that he will not tolerate it if someone misbehaves in front of him; on the ground, he then was repeating his nation, Pakistan.
"There is no love. If he kept behaving like that, I would disrespect him even more. If anyone says anything about Pakistan, okay? This is my home. We will fight among ourselves here. If I, Fawad Alam, or Shahid Afridi have to do anything among ourselves, let us do it. This is home. When there are utensils at home, they surely clash with each other," he said in the podcast about the clash with Virat Kohli.
"They make noise. But then they still stay at home. No outsider comes to interfere in it, so then he also represents his country. Okay, I want Virat Kohli— God has given him great respect, and may he succeed. Okay? But no one touches us, and another thing is, if I am playing for my country, then we do not leave anyone without an answer. We answer them in a way that makes them think twice," he added.
Sohail Khan's professional career in brief
Sohail, who is now 42, represented the Pakistan National Cricket Team across all three formats of the game. The seamer played 9 Test matches to pick 27 wickets and got 19 wickets in 13 matches in the One Day International format.
In the Twenty20 International format, he took five wickets in 5 matches for an economy rate of 8.20. He announced his retirement from international cricket in 2017.
With Virat Kohli's century and 300 runs on the scoreboard, India won that 2015 ODI World Cup match with ease against Pakistan, and Khan's all-out effort to take the 5-for went in vain.
