South Africa Playing XI vs Pakistan- 3rd ODI, South Africa Tour of Pakistan 2025

Openers: Quinton de Kock (wk), Lhuan-dre Pretorius

The Proteas would like to give a good account of themselves with bat and ball in the third and final ODI of their tour of Pakistan to clinch the series and end it with a win.

South Africa got off to a good start in the first ten overs against the home team in the opening match of the series, but lost their way in the middle, which proved to be decisive as the visitors lost the match by two wickets while defending 263 runs.

The story was a lot different in the next match as they chased a decent target of 270 runs with eight wickets in hand courtesy of an attacking century from Quinton de Kock and a fifty from Tony de Zorzi.

Because of that very reason, the visitors are expected to go with an unchanged playing XI into the final game of the series, as the team management would back the same personnel to get the job once again.

Experienced wicketkeeper batter Quinton de Kock and Lhuan-dre Pretorious will open the batting for Africa and would aim to get the team off to a strong start, like they have done in the previous two games.

In addition to that, both batters would look to build on the good performance they delivered individually in the series opener and in the previous match as well.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Tony de Zorzi, Matthew Breetzke (c), Sinethemba Qeshile, Donovan Ferreira, George Linde, Corbin Bosch

South Africa would back their middle-order batters to fulfill their role of controlling the middle phase of the team's batting innings to the best of their abilities.

The likes of Matthew Breetzke, Sinethemba Qeshile, and Donovan Ferreira will have an opportunity to play with freedom or take their time, given the inexperience that they carry as of now in terms of the number of matches they have played at the international level.

The reason is that the visitors bat deep with Corbin Bosch, who is a fast bowling all-rounder coming in to bat at number eight.

African batters have the ability to make up for the time they may lose in an attempt to safeguard their wickets in the middle phase and can score runs quickly at the backend of the innings.

Bowlers: Bjorn Fortuin, Nandre Burger, Nqabayomzi Peter

When it comes to South Africa's bowling lineup, it will want their batters to post a score of close to 300 runs for them to nowl with freedom and try different things with bowl in hand.

Anything less than that restricts the bowlers from expressing themselves, and they cannot afford to give away a couple of boundaries in the process of tempting the batters to play a false shot.

Having said that, the African combination of four spinners and three fast bowlers in the form would be satisfied with their bowling performance in the previous match.

The fast bowling duo of Nandre Burger and Corbin Bosch would want to continue the good work in the next match and will be supported by the spin bowling quartet of Bjorn Fortuin, George Linde, Nqabayomzi Peter, and Donovan Ferreira.
