South Africa will begin their home World Cup campaign against New Zealand in Cape Town on October 9. The co-hosts then travel through Paarl, Gqeberha, Durban and Johannesburg during a Group B schedule that also includes England, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Qualifier B.
South Africa's campaign will unfold entirely in South African venues during the Group Stage. The side has also been assigned the B2 position for the Super 7, giving them a current six-match fixture pathway if they qualify.
South Africa’s World Cup 2027 Schedule, Fixtures and Venues
The New Zealand opener will be followed by a match against Qualifier B in Paarl on October 13. South Africa then meet England in Gqeberha on October 16.
Their fourth Group Stage fixture is against Bangladesh in Durban on October 19, before they face Sri Lanka in Johannesburg on October 22.

The opening match against New Zealand will be one of the first major Group Stage fixtures after the tournament begins with the Super Series in Namibia.
South Africa’s Key Matches in the Home World Cup
The New Zealand opener gives South Africa an immediate contest against another pre-seeded Super 7 team. The England fixture in Gqeberha is another important Group B encounter, while the final against Sri Lanka takes place in Johannesburg.
South Africa will also have the benefit of playing all five Group Stage matches in their home country. The World Cup will use eight venues in South Africa, three in Zimbabwe and one in Namibia.
South Africa’s Route From the Group Stage to the Final
South Africa's current B2 Super 7 schedule begins against England in Tshwane on October 27. They then face India in Johannesburg on October 3, Pakistan in Durban on November 3, Sri Lanka in Bloemfontein on November 6, Australia in Gqeberha on November 9, and New Zealand in Cape Town on November 12.

The Super 7 contains 21 matches, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals. The first semi-final is scheduled in Cape Town on November 17 and the second in Tshwane on November 18. The final is set for Johannesburg on November 21.
