The team benefitted a lot from the experience of Virat Kohli: Yash Dhull
Dhull said that Kohli, who was the captain when the India U19 team lifted the title in 2008, boosted the team’s morale and personally benefitted him a lot.
“He said, ‘Play the final like any other match. Don’t take the pressure of the final.’ Speaking to him benefitted me a lot. You must have seen that the team did not play under pressure. The team benefited a lot from the experience of Virat bhaiya,” Dhull told NDTV.
“Virat Kohli gave us his best wishes for the final. We got confidence from that, the morale increases when a senior player like him talks to you. He told us how we can execute our plans and he told us about the basics of the game. It was a nice interaction with him,” Dhull told news agency ANI.

Dhull joined the likes of Mohammad Kaif, Virat Kohli, Unmkut Chand and Prithvi Shaw to win the U19 World Cup for India as their captain.
Dhull’s coach Rajesh Nagar reckoned that the U19 skipper has the batting glimpses of Virat Kohli and calm mindset of MS Dhoni when it comes to leadership.
After winning the title, Dhull mentioned that the whole team followed a strict diet and so they celebrated their victorious campaign with ice cream.
