SunRisers Hyderabad recorded a 67-run victory over the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, April 20. The Pat Cummins-led team successfully defended a total of 266 runs in the recent match. SRH bowlers bundled out the opposition team for 199 runs in 19.1 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have achieved three of the highest scores in the IPL, scoring 277/3 against Mumbai Indians (MI) before breaking their own record with 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) hold the third-highest total of 272/7 against the Delhi Capitals.

The SRH team will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, April 25.

Kuldeep Yadav Grabs Four Wickets

Earlier, DC captain Rishabh Pant chose to bowl first after winning the toss on a flat pitch. The SRH openers capitalized on this, aggressively dominating the DC bowlers. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head helped the team reach the highest powerplay score in the IPL, adding 125 runs in the first six overs.

Head reached a half-century off just 16 balls. Abhishek missed the opportunity to register the fastest IPL fifty, as he was dismissed for 46 runs off 12 balls. Kuldeep Yadav brought his team back into contention by picking up the wickets of Abhishek and Aiden Markram in the seventh over.

Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Head, while Axar Patel got rid of inform batter Heinrich Klaasen, reducing the SRH team to 154/4 in 9.1 overs. Nitish Reddy and Shahbaz Ahmed steadied the innings with a crucial partnership as the Hyderabad team reached their third score above 250 this season.

We Targeted More Than That - Abhishek Sharma

At the mid-innings break, Abhishek Sharma revealed his batting strategy alongside Travis Head. He mentioned how Head's approach allowed him to express himself freely. Sharma expressed eagerness to contribute with both bat and ball in future matches.

"I think we targeted more than that, first six overs we decided a bit more but really happy with it. Specially there was message to assess the pitch, but Travis really did well in that and I just followed him," Sharma said.

"It's always pleasure from day 1, told him I'm a big fan of him and really lucky to have in our team. You don't have pressure when Head is out there, I can express myself. I am ready to bowl as well, looking forward," he continued.
