Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have pulled things incredibly well with the ball in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), credits to Mayank Markande. The 41st game of the tournament between the teams is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

After opting to bat first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru openers Faf du Plessis (25) and Virat Kohli scored quick-fire runs at the top. They put the opposition team under pressure with their brutal power-hitting in the powerplay at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

However, Sunrisers Hyderabad pulled back things incredibly well. Mayank Markande played a key role in it as he removed in-form batter Will Jacks early in the innings. The leg-spinner produced a peach of a delivery to take the second wicket for his team against RCB.

During the last ball of the 7th over, Will Jacks bowled a slow leg-spinner that didn't spin much. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter tried to swing it across the line but the ball went underneath the blade of the batter before hitting the off-stump and sending the batter packing.

Here's the video;

Will Jacks, who scored a brutal half-century in the last game against KKR, managed just 6 runs off 9 balls. The batter's wicket saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru lose their second wicket for 65 runs, after having a powerful start of 48 runs for the opening stand against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Earlier, Faf du Plessis perished after scoring a power-packed 25-run knock. He along with Virat Kohli made sure that they come out all guns blazing with the bat. The captain was removed by T Natarajan in the 4th over as he was caught by Aiden Markram.

Rajat Patidar takes Mayank Markande to cleaners in IPL 2024

After Will Jacks got out, Rajat Patidar stole the limelight with his magnificent batting at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. He made sure that he kept the tempo high for his team and got some quick runs after losing two wickets in quick succession of time.

Rajat Patidar's best came in the 11th over when he took Mayank Markande to the cleaners. The batter slammed him for four consecutive sixes and made the bowler look clueless. He hit 27 runs in the over against the leg-spinner and put his team in the driver's seat.

Rajat Patidar raced away to his half-century in a flash. The batter brought up his second consecutive fifty of the season but he couldn't carry on as he fell immediately after that. The batter scored 50 runs off just 20 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 2 fours and 5 sixes before getting out to Jaydev Unadkat.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli has slammed another half-century and was going strong. But he too couldn't get going after that. He scored 51 runs off 43 balls and his wicket saw RCB tumbling at 140/4 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
