Sri Lanka and Pakistan tour of South Africa 2025 schedule revealed

Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced the 2024-25 home schedule. South Africa is set to face Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The season will include two Tests against Sri Lanka and an all-format series against Pakistan. Johannesburg's Wanderers Stadium will not host a Test for the second consecutive summer.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for their upcoming tour to South Africa, comprising T20Is, ODIs, and Tests. The multi-format series between the Pakistan national cricket team and the South African national cricket team will take place in the second half of 2024.
Sri Lanka Tour of South Africa Schedule
The Proteas are scheduled to face Sri Lanka in the first Test at Kingsmead in Durban starting on November 27, followed by the second Test at St. George’s Park in Gqeberha beginning on December 5. Notably, the Wanderers in Johannesburg won't host any Tests for the second consecutive summer.
Pakistan is set to travel to South Africa for three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests. The series will kick off with a T20I series in Durban on December 10. The remaining two matches in the series will be played on December 13 and 14. Centurion and Johannesburg will host the second and third T20I matches.
The ODI matches are scheduled to take place from December 17 to December 22. The first Test will be played at Centurion from 26th to 30th December, followed by the second Test at Cape Town from 3rd to 7th January. The upcoming red-ball series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.

Pakistan will tour South Africa for their seventh Test series since 1994-95. The Men in Green secured victories in two Test matches, in 1997-98 and 2006-2007. Pakistan won by 29 runs in the Durban Test of 1997-98. Pakistan won by five wickets in the 2006-2007 Port Elizabeth Test.
The Pakistan cricket team has won two of the last three series in 2013-2014 and 2020-21 in the 50-over format. Meanwhile, South Africa emerged victorious in four previous series. Pakistan holds a slight lead with six wins out of 12 encounters. In T20Is, one match ended without a result.
After the series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, the South African men's team won't have any more home international assignments. The Proteas will play a tri-series with Pakistan and New Zealand ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025. The tri-series will help the team acclimate to the conditions of the ICC event.
