Sri Lanka would aim for a comeback when they clash with India in the ODI series. The India vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI takes place on Friday, August 2 and a nail-biting battle is expected to happen. The venue of the 1st ODI game is R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Kusal Mendis would be another opener for Sri Lanka in the match. He did a wonderful job with Nissanka in the T20I series by forming crucial partnerships and will aim for the same in the ODI series. He will also keep the stumps.

Avishka Fernando

Avishka Fernando will bat at one-down in the India vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI game. The right-handed batter has played over 38 games and holds an average of 31+ with 3 centuries and 7 fifties. He last played against Bangladesh in March 2024.
