The West Indies cricket team will host Sri Lanka for a multi-format home series in 2026, according to the complete schedule recently released by Cricket West Indies (CWI). The two teams will play a bilateral tour featuring three One-Day Internationals, three T20 Internationals, and two Test matches.
This upcoming bilateral series provides an opportunity for both teams to test their squad depth. The Sri Lanka national cricket team will travel to the Caribbean during June and July to compete across multiple formats, including the World Test Championship (WTC) against the West Indies national cricket team.
West Indies are set to host Sri Lanka in a multi-format series, featuring ODIs, T20Is, and Tests. The tour will begin with six white-ball matches. Both teams will use the series to test combinations ahead of the ODI World Cup 2027, while the Test matches will count toward the World Test Championship.
Cricket West Indies have scheduled all six white-ball games at the iconic Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica. After the white-ball leg, both teams will shift to red-ball cricket. The two-match Test series will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
Here is the complete schedule for the West Indies vs. Sri Lanka 2026 series:
| Date | Match | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| June 3 | 1st ODI | Sabina Park |
| June 6 | 2nd ODI | Sabina Park |
| June 8 | 3rd ODI | Sabina Park |
| June 11 | 1st T20I | Sabina Park |
| June 13 | 2nd T20I | Sabina Park |
| June 14 | 3rd T20I | Sabina Park |

While the last three Test series ended in draws, West Indies secured series wins in 1997 and 2003. They have also won their last two ODI series against Sri Lanka at home, with their previous defeat coming in 2003.
In T20Is, the history between the two sides in the Caribbean is limited. West Indies have played only one bilateral T20I series against Sri Lanka at home, which came in 2021, and they won that series comfortably.
West Indies and Sri Lanka’s Recent Form in T20 World Cup 2026
Sri Lanka and West Indies were last seen in action during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. The Windies enjoyed a strong Group C campaign, remaining unbeaten. They defeated Scotland, England, Italy, and Nepal to finish at the top of their group with eight points.
In the Super 8 stage, West Indies recorded a massive 107-run win over Zimbabwe. However, defeats against South Africa and India knocked them out of the tournament. They finished third in Super 8 Group 1 with two points and a net run rate of +0.993.
Sri Lanka struggled in the Super 8 stage after qualifying from Group B. Despite earlier wins over Ireland, Oman, and Australia, they failed to win a match in the Super 8s. Losses to England, New Zealand, and Pakistan saw them finish at the bottom of Group 2.
