Chennai Super Kings (CSK) keeper-batter MS Dhoni who has been in the headlines for his retirement came up with a dazzling post that sparked wild speculations about the new Indian Premier League (IPL) team. The keeper-batter seemed to be launching his team as he made the official announcement on Wednesday (22nd May).

Chennai Super Kings was recently eliminated from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. However, more than that what has been catching the attention of many is whether MS Dhoni will be announcing his retirement or not because he last season stated that he would be playing one more season for fans.

Ms Dhoni so far hasn't made anything official about his retirement. There have been reports that keeper-batter will be taking the decision soon. He is expected to fly to London to treat his knee and after that, he will be deciding on him playing or not.

"Dhoni might head to London for his muscle tear surgery which saw him struggling during the IPL. He is not fully fit but wants to continue to play cricket and he will only decide about his future after treatment which will take him five to six months to recover," a source close to Chennai Super Kings told IANS.

However, amid all the speculations about his retirement, he came up with an interesting social media post. MS Dhoni stated that he would be starting his new team and it sparked a lot of rumours on social media.

He stated: "Time to leap. It's time to do what matters! I'm starting my own team."

It got even more viral when Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan also shared the same on their social media accounts. They congratulated the keeper-batter for starting the new team and shared pictures with captions which sparked more rumors:

Irfan Pathan stated: "You thought retirement, he said new team."
