Australia dominate England at the SCG as the first Test of 2026 nears a dramatic draw
Australia have once again dominated the English side at the SCG. Though for the English on former occasions, Sydney has been one of the most relieving grounds since the ground often offers a healthy batting track, but this time around, the Australian batters have capitalized on the pitch, where the ball is making sweet contact with the bat.
However, witnessing Australia's intentions on Day 3, when Steve Smith, the centurion, alongside Beau Webster, is looking to score some runs quickly before they can either declare or play out the Third Day and pose a challenging lead in front of the English batters, so that they can avoid a draw in the final game of a challenging series.
However, it seems evident that the SCG Test is going to be the longest match played in this Ashes series, while many games have finished within 2 or 3 days. However, the first Test of 2026 for now is looking to end in a combative draw.
